Here are the most common questions usually asked before people dive in head first into the sometimes very confusing, manipulating and competitive world of internet marketing and online business.

How Long does it take to actually start making money? This is a loaded question because it can be answered in so many ambiguous ways. Some will claim that it can happen overnight, others will tell you only a week or a month. The truth of the matter is that it usually depends entirely upon the individual running the business.

Are the income claims realistic? On the internet people will claim almost anything. The question should actually be if there is any proof to these claims.

How many hours a day do I have to work? The typical answer will be; how many do you want to work or it is up to you how many hours you work. The part often left out is that this directly correlates to how much money you make.

How much does it cost to get started? A legitimate question with one exception; is start up cost the only cost involved? In most cases it is not. Usually the biggest cost involved is the marketing of your business or what might be referred to as lead generation.

Can just anybody do this? This is almost always met with a resounding "YES" as long as you have a credit card or the ability to write and mail a check or how about pay pal? Based on my experience this answer makes me nervous. There should be some discussion about the technical side.

Do I need a website? Most of the time you will need a website and many of the companies provide one to you which you will simply customize with your name etc. Having a website is the really easy part.

Do I have to quit my job? Once again this goes back to how many hours you want to invest in your new business. If the business you choose has any real income potential you should be able to figure this out on your own within a few short months. Please do not let someone make this decision for you.

What kind of electronic equipment do I need? If you want to be an online entrepreneur you will most definitely need a working PC or Mac with a very reliable internet connection.

What does my skill level need to be? This is a very important question to ask before deciding which business to get involved in because you can very easily get in over your head.

Do I get to talk to real people or is everything automated? With this question I must say BEWARE. Many online opportunities are completely automated and do not provide backup support without there being a cost involved. Please be careful with this one. Automation can be wonderful in many situations but there may need to be technical support to help you accomplish the tasks required.
